The Seer

(acrylics on A3)

There is a brokenness out of which comes the unbroken.
There is a shatteredness out of which blooms the unshatterable.
There is a sorrow beyond all grief, which leads to joy.
And a fragility out of whose depths emerges strength.
There is a hollow space too vast for words through which we pass which each loss,
out of whose darkness we are sanctioned into being.

Now, with The Seer and The Seeker completed, there is only one left to paint. The three of them emerged in my mind together. A quite interesting group that belongs to the Refuge of the Mind.
You might recognize the creature featured in this work. It is Farphyni indeed – though in a different shape, as she doesn’t represent one of my Alter Ego aspects here, but a different meaning that also belongs to the Refuge of the Mind.
Honestly, I’m so happy how this work turned out – I wish you could see it in real. The digital version can never truly reflect the traditional charm – especially in this case. Depending on the light it can either look scary, mysterious or brightly beautiful. It’s fascinating. For me, this is one of my best works and I love it from the bottom of my heart.
Also this different kind of gold was a good (spontaneous, haha) decision (it’s not paint or gold leaf) to achieve the desired effect.
