NOUS [3]

Trapped in yourself, break out instead
Shattered mirrors in flower fields
Are staring back at the illusions

Wake up, stop pretending
This day’s beginning in ending
No more blank illusions, a new day

Nothing left, but the sound of my heart
I feel the blood running through my veins
And I know, I’m alive

NOUS Sketches, third part: The “Me” in me

  1. Isn’t there a relation to dream and the moment you wake up in the poem?

    1. Author

It can be interpreted that way, but also waking up from a daydream or illusion – and through that to be honest to oneself.
