Sanctum Shepherd

(Painted with Acrylics on ca. 30 x 39 cm Paper)

I’ve heard of an Eerie, a weird sort of Sidhe, maybe an Ellyllon, who left the Síd to wander through the known and unknown lands. She found her peace, her place to be, within an enormous cave, filled with glowing waters and curious spirits. The spirits followed her, first at distant, then up close, for she created stars to paint the cave ceiling in colors of vision and wonder. Her reason was unclear, but there were those who said that she is a keeper of forgotten dreams – that she found and kept alive what others lost. That is why she is called the Sanctum Shepherd and that once dark, now glowy cave became the safest space under the sun and moon, for nobody would dare to disturb the peace of one of the three eerie sisters.

About seven years ago I painted the first of the three sisters, the Spirit Shepherd. Back then I already knew, that she was not alone, and that there are two more. But it took a while until the second sister wanted to be painted as well. And the third one is already knocking on my door so, maybe, this time, it will not take another seven years for next sister to be painted? We will see.
