Sketchbook Cover [10]

Another sketchbook cover, this time featuring a Qilin, with shiny silver highlights.
Celestial Dream [1]

“The Sky is not the Limit.“
First piece of a new painting series, expressing my passion for and dreaming about nightly skies, nebula, and celestial beings.
Sketchbook Cover [9]

As the phoenix is one of my most favorite fantasy creatures it was time to also draw one on a sketchbook cover – of course with shiny golden details!

The concept of this work came to my mind during last summer when I was visiting Japan (I guess the temple makes this obvious, doesn’t it?) and I started working on it around the end of last year. Small originals (ACEO-size; 6.3 x 8.9cm) of some of my weird critters, drawn with ink and white pencil on toned paper.
Lucky [Gift]

A little gift I drew for friends a while ago. It shows one of their adorable cats, Lucky, who passed away a few months ago. Lucky enjoyed the sunny summer days, napping in the garden. To honor her, I wanted to capture such a moment on paper.
Otherworld Sketches [41]

Warm-up sketches that I drew at a convention in autumn. Some random critters, just for fun.
Otherworld Sketches [40]

Another sketch done at VIECC. A young wyvern named Merwin, who didn’t sleep well and woke up feeling sad and with wings too heavy to fly. So now he’s going for a mental health walk and will meet his friends later.
Otherworld Sketches [39]

Sketched at VIECC (Vienna Comic Con). An asian dragon, who smelled some delicious Ramen in the distance. If it’s your Ramen he smelled, you better eat it fast, because this dragon is really hungry … and thievish.
